Following with our communal style dining, ideally arranged for Thai food and our well known sharing style banquets, this menu for Christmas Day lunch looks a real treat!

Since we are situated right on the Melbourne Yarra Riverside, combined with our fruity selection of drinks, Christmas Day will feel like you have taken a trip to Thailand (even if its just for lunch)!

Starting with Entrée’s

Rice Crackers

House favourite with fresh Tasmanian salmon tartare, mixed with flavours or lychee, green chili, Thai basil and lime.

Beef and Betel Leaf

Perfectly seasoned “Darling Downs” Wagyu beef, is grilled tenderly and served up Thai style with fragrant lemongrass and betel leaf.

Fried School Prawns

This well- known coastal Thai snack is made of red curry flavoured fried school prawns, served with a ‘salt bae’ style sprinkle of chili salt and jaew sauce.

Mains to share

Norther style “Larb Muang Moo”

‘Larb’ meaning minced with ‘moo’ bring pork is a dish taken to the next level when prepared in the native Northern Thai style. Spices include Sichuan peppercorns, cloves, star-anise, cinnamon, cardamom and of course chillies! Preparation of the pork involves roasting the spice mix before really grinding and then blooming in hot oil allows for maximum flavour extraction. Served with crispy pork skin, pickled red chillies and Thai cashews, this dish is sure to go down very well.

Anise and Mandarin Lamb ribs

Now it might seem odd that a Thai restaurant if offering a Chinese style dish, but actually a lot of the classic dishes change in each part of Thailand due to the rich history of migration and culture. Lamb ribs are marinated and left to allow the rich flavours of star anise, ginger, peppercorns, chilli, onion, garlic and a few other special house ingredients to fully permeate through the lamb. Served with fresh shaved green papaya salad and topped with a tamarind caramel.

Red Duck Curry

Thai red curries are traditionally spicy dishes due to the rich red heat released from the red capsicum, shallots, garlic, spices and crushed chillies. The coconut cream thins out the curry paste but it’s the addition of sweet lychees that help to temper the heat of our fiery red duck curry.

Dessert

Now sharing is caring, especially on Christmas Day. To top off this banquet of delicious food, the team couldn’t decide on just one dessert but instead have opted for a mixed special dessert platter. It will include classic fresh mango with coconut sticky rice, caramelized banana parfait with crunchy peanut brittle and Thai sweet roti with coconut ice cream and kaffir lime syrup.
